Slot missions are a great way to acquire weapons, gear and more. They're difficult to complete.

Slot for items that are smuggled
The smuggled item slot is a great feature that lets players bring tools and weapons into the game, but could be improved. It's currently shaped as an a gun, that makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled item slot from other slots for gear.
The smuggle slot is able to hold many different items, ranging from small concussion devices, to weapons-grade explosives. These items are covertly stashed in inconspicuous places around the map and are able to be recovered at any moment. These items are distinct from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that conceal small items within the scenery or objects directly.
Mission planning is an option in missions that are episodic. It lets players discover different starting points, smuggled objects and gear slots prior to entering the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning increase. This gives players the ability to create the perfect mission for every difficulty.
Gear Slot
Early on in the game players will notice that their gear slots get full, resulting in the common "Your Gear Slots are Full" message that prevents Max from selecting new equipment until the old items are cleared or more space is found. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the answer to this issue. They give players more inventory space to complete challenges missions. However, as many of these challenges are scattered around the world and can be overlooked, it may take an extended time to obtain the largest amount of inventory slots in the game.
A player's five Gear Slots can be filled with up to 5 different gear types, which must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as the grouping of Grenades) only uses one Gear Slot.
Agency Pickups
As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups across the map. These locations let you store an item that does not fit in your concealed weapon or gear slots and then retrieve it later.
These pickups are especially useful if you need to pass through a frisk at the end of the game or if you're carrying a weapon that might otherwise trigger suspicion. However, you can only hide one item per game at a location that is a pickup for the agency.
This DLC also includes new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and purchase snacks and armor. Then, go to the mission marker and identify a mob at the time of arrival.
